Q: How often should I change the battery in my vehicle?
A: Every 5 years, even if your vehicle is starting fine when the battery is more than 5
years old. We sell quality name brand batteries.
Q: Do you take appointments?
A: Yes we will take appointments, or we serve customers on a first come first serve
basis.
Q: Do you do oil and filter changes?
A: Yes. We will use regular oil or synthetic oil based on customer preference. We
change the filter.
Q: Do you sell tires?
A: Yes, we offer a variety of different tires, new and used at competitive prices. We
are very straight forward about the quality of the tire, the manufacturer, and how well
they should work.
Q: Do you do tire repair?
A: Yes, we repair tires.
Q: Is it normal for aluminum wheels and tires to lose some air?
A: My competitors may say so, but it is not true. After I am done with them they don't
lose air unless you run over something very sharp. We have additional processes that
many competitors do not do that seal the wheel.
Q: How often should I do a tune-up?
A: 95 percent of vehicles need a tune-up between 80,000 and 100,000 miles. The
few others would be every 30,000-40,000 miles. Stop in and we will take a look and
let you know if you need a tune-up.
Q: How often should I rotate my tires?
A: Every 7,000-10,000 miles. We do tire rotations. If you purchase your tires at Don's
Auto repair we will rotate them for free.
Q: What kind of warranty do you offer?
A: We offer a 1 year 12,000 mile coast to coast warranty on most repairs. Please visit

Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Don's Auto Repair has been in business since 2006. Don has been working in the
automotive repair industry since 1980. He went out on his own in 2006 because he
didn't like other companies business practices.
Q: Why do I want to take my car to a state licensed repair facility?
A: If your friend does a repair improperly and someone ends up hurt YOU can be
sued for the damages for not getting the part fixed at a state licensed repair facility.
Q: What is a master mechanic?
A: A master mechanic is certified in all areas of automotive repair. Both mechanics
at Don's Auto repair are master mechanics. Learn more here.
Q: Why is ASE certified mechanic better?
A: It's more difficult to get ASE certifications. This means they are more
knowledgeable in auto repair. Our mechanics are ASE certified.
Q: Do you provide Towing?
A: We do not offer towing, but we can recommend a towing company.
Q: How often should you change oil on a diesel?
A:Every 7000 miles is best.
Q: What type of brakes do you usually use, and why?
A: We usually put Wagner Thermo Quiet ceramic brakes on vehicles. We use them
because they don't squeek or leave dust on the wheels. They are durable, and
provide great results. In Michigan, the weather changes rapidly, and conditions
aren't always the safest. We find it very important for your safety to have good brakes
on your vehicle.
Q: Do you do body repair?
A: Yes we do minor body repair like bumpers, grills, hoods, headlights, mirrors, and

work with your insurance company.
Q: Do you work with auto insurance?
A: Yes we work with automotive insurance companies for vehicle repair.
Q: How much does a diagnosis and estimate cost?
A: We will take your vehicle for a drive and look at it, and give you a diagnosis and
estimate for FREE. If your vehicle needs to be scanned, the cost will be $50 to scan.
If you decide to get your vehicle repaired with us, we will take $50 off of your bill for
the scan, making the scan FREE.
